The stripe from the stable
Gucci started in Florence in 1921, and the house traces its green-red-green Web to the saddle girth — the woven strap that cinches a saddle to a horse. Stable equipment, promoted.
That thread is worth pulling, because the Boston is stable logic too. Rounded, structured, twin handles, a zip straight across the top. A shape built to be packed and carried rather than admired — descended from the bags Gucci made when it was still outfitting people for travel instead of for photographs.
In black it behaves differently than the brown everyone pictures. The Web still does its work, but against dark canvas it reads as a line rather than a flag: the same signal, said quietly. Small enough to be a handbag rather than luggage, and built like something that expects to be used.

Condition — Very Good:
GG canvas is clean and intact throughout with the pattern crisp on all panels, including the base and corners — no fading. Leather trim is supple with no cracking or split stitching. Handles are intact and sound. Interior is clean with no odor. Zippers run smoothly end to end.
Flaws: light gold-tone finish wear to both D-rings at the strap attachment points and to the strap clip collars, consistent with normal use. Dust bag has some fraying on the top edge.
